Rodolfo Maslias
European Parliament, Head of Terminology Coordination

Originally from Greece, Rodolfo Maslias studied languages (German, French and Spanish) and also speaks and writes English, Italian and Dutch. He worked as a translator in the Greek Unit at the EP for 27 years before he was appointed as Head of the Terminology Coordination Unit in 2008. Since 2012 he is teaching Terminology and Multilingualism in the Master 'Multilingual Learning in Multicultural Environments‘ at the University of Luxembourg. He is an ECQA certified terminologist and member of the Board of TermNet. Apart from his linguistic profession Rodolfo devotes himself to cultural activities. From 2000 to 2002 he was Head of Cabinet of the Greek Ministry of Culture and until 2007 Secretary General of the Network of European Capitals of Culture (ECCM). From 2007 to 2010 he was assigned as Cultural Advisor to the Mayor of Athens. He is a member of the European Cultural Parliament since 2009.
