Thibault Lesénécal is currently the acting head of the European Parliament's Web Communications Unit after working in online editorial production and strategy for ten years. His team produces up to three stories a day in 24 languages, as well as weekly infographics, all aimed at the general public.
Mr Lesénécal contributed to the establishment and development of the Parliament's presence on 12 social media platforms, including interaction with Europeans online. Under his leadership, the European Parliament has grown to become a social-media heavyweight amongst institutions, alongside the White House and UNICEF.
Supported by a strong political will, the European Parliament Directorate for the Media in general and the Web Communication Unit in particular do their best to provide news for the general public and social media animations in all 24 EU official languages. We are supported by the EP Information Offices in all Member States. We also provide direct access to everything the Members of the European Parliament publish online, in the language of their choice, via our EP Newshub (live online aggregator).
