Asunción Gómez-Pérez

Prof. Dr. Asunción Gómez-­Pérez is Full Professor at UPM (2007), director of the Artificial Intelligence department, director of the OEG and PhD in Computer Science (1993). Before joining UPM, she was visiting (1994-1995) the Knowledge Systems Laboratory at Stanford University. She also was the Executive Director (1995­-1998) of the AI Laboratory at the School of Computer Science. Asunción has coordinated SEALS FP7­238975/€1,030,067, SemsorGrid4Env FP7­223913/€932,150 and OntoGrid FP6­511513/€768,001 and now she is coordinating LiDER FP7­610782/€693,775. She has participated in more than 15 EU projects. Her main research interests are ontologies, linked data and the semantic Web. She has published more than 200 papers and two books on Ontological Engineering.  Her works on Ontological Engineering about Methontology and the NeOn Methodology are world­wide known.  On March 2015, she got the Spanish Award Ada Byron.
